Our designs of traditional homes reflect an extensive knowledge of architectural history. Our background in historic preservation has given us unique insight into the traditional home. We have restored the 1742 brick mansion of the Colonial Governor of Maryland. We have restored the summer home of Frederick Douglass, built in 1895 on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay. We know how and why the traditional home was designed, and the great variety of forms it has taken over the years.
